SomaFM Secret Agent (128k MP3)

Out of 1,481 entries in the United States, this one ranks 23. The upper quarter of a national list is an interesting place to be: well known enough to have accumulated opens, not so well known that it is the station everybody already had.

At 67 recorded opens, SomaFM Secret Agent (128k MP3) is one of the streams that people actually reach through the public directory rather than through a station's own app. The count is the whole basis of the ranking on this site, and it is worth knowing that it measures directory traffic specifically.

English is the station's language and the country's commonest, one of six the United States' listing records.

Tagged ambient, along with 52 other stations in the country and 171 across the directory.

On the same tag worldwide it is 2 of 171, which is inside the top quarter of every ambient station the directory carries.

The stream address on this entry points at ice5.somafm.com, which is where 31 other stations in the United States are served from as well. Platforms of that size carry the long tail of a country's dial, and they are the reason a listing can look broken when it is one host having a quiet hour.
